The best thing to drink when you’re feeling rundown, bloated, listless or on the verge of a cold is a beverage full of natural, rejuvenating ingredients. This Detox Lemonade is all of that and more! Like a warm lemon tea, this drink with spicy additions will wake up your system and leave you feeling better in no time, helping you fight off whatever ails you. The fact that’s it’s easy and quick to make is nothing to sneeze at, either. After all, who wants to slave away when you’re feeling under the weather? Not us! And as you’ll see when you watch the beverage come together, we definitely didn’t. We just enjoyed, and you will too!

Serves 1
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

You’ll Need
– 1 slice lemon
– Juice of half a lemon (about 1 to 1½ tablespoons)
– 1 teaspoon honey
– Pinch cayenne
– Pinch ground ginger
– Pinch ground cloves
– 1 cup hot water

How To

  1. Combine the lemon juice, honey, cayenne, ginger and cloves in a mug.
  2. Pour hot water over the mix and stir to combine.
  3. Top with the lemon slice and enjoy.

You can, obviously, use 1 lemon for both the juice and the lemon slice. This recipe can use the juice of the whole lemon if you like, so adjust according to your personal tastes.
